Summer Hardware Bootcamp: How to Hack Your Clothing with Tech

$300Purchase required to enroll

Imagine an LED umbrella that can match the color of your clothing, a gown that illuminates when you spin, or a hat that blinks and beeps like the ship in Close Encounters.

Spend the week with Philly tech artist Leslie Birch, transforming a piece of your clothing into responsive art. We'll be learning about open-source hardware using a simple microcontroller with built-in LEDs and sensors. Not only will you amaze your friends with a fun wearable, but the microcontroller can be used for future projects. If you are curious about wearable tech and interactive projects, this is the place for you. No coding experience or soldering required, so join us for some interactive fun!

Please note: There is an additional Materials Fee for this session, which is $35 per person. You may apply for a scholarship to cover this cost as well. To make sure that we can order materials in time, registration for this session will close July 6th at noon (the deadline has been extended).
